INSTALLATION INFORMATION FOR ICE MACHINES
Installing a Water filter cartridge:
Filter MUST be activated prior to installing. Flush cartridge by running water through system at full pressure for five minutes down drain or into bucket, to activate the filter. This must be done PRIOR to connecting water to ice machine. There is an arrow on top of the filter cartridge, which explains the flow of the filter. Follow arrow at top of filter for correct flow. Install vertically with cartridge hanging down. Follow instruction on the water filter cartridge.
Installing an Ice Machine
Ice machine installation requires the following to within 1 metre.
Standard 10 – 15 amp power point (depending on size of machine – please check your brochure) 3/4 inch cold water tap (BSP – British Standard Pipe).
Low drain (Tundish) – as close as possible to the floor. Ice machine must connect to cold water supply.Drain from ice machine head must be vented to the atmosphere. Drain from ice bin does not need to be vented, but must run downhill. Do not vent condenser drain (water – cooled models)
Water temperature: Minimum 0.5°C, Maximum 32.C
Ice making water pressure: As per manufactures specs
Be sure components will fit through doorways, down halls, and into the installation space.
It is recommended once installed that the ice machine should have adequate ventilation around the machine, however, as long the vents are not blocked off completely, it is acceptable.
All under bench units have front ventilation. It is acceptable to have these units installed hard up against the side walls as long as the front vents are exposed. Allow room at rear for pipework.
Locate the ice machine in the area where the ambient air temperature stays between 1°C and 40°C
Cupboard Installation
Joinery a cupboard, please allow 50mm clearance all the way around the unit. Do Not close in with Joinery Doors
